    I have to be careful with ingesting too much kelp, but I've found this fine powder is a whole lot cheaper than the stuff they sell for dogs. I blend my own flax meal and add this kelp powder to it. The dogs' health has remained constant, so I appreciate saving some money.

    We add a 1/2 tsp of this powder everyday to our dogs food. It really helps to keep her teeth clean along with a daily brushing. I'd rather pay for this than a $1200 dental cleaning bill for our dog.

    When making pet food, you need more ingredients than you think. Kelp provides my cats with the necessary iodine they require and by using Starwest Botanicals Organic Kelp Powder I don't have to purchase mussels. I did not rate the flavor as I am not ingesting the kelp. I would definitely purchase again.

    I purchased this for our hermit crab. This is probably more than we'll ever need but was the smallest I could find. I like to make our own food mixes. Some of the premade ones on other sites can get pretty expensive.
